Airport transfers – Pre-Arranged Transfers
Punta Cana resorts go above and beyond to make your trip hassle-free, with many offering pre-arranged ground transportation to and from the airport. After collecting your luggage and clearing customs, head to the greeting area on your right, where your tour company representative will likely be waiting to guide you to a bus that will take you safely to your resort. If you need assistance, feel free to ask at the counter.
Independent transfers
You can also find private taxis and shuttles available. All taxis follow standard rates, so be sure to confirm the fare with your driver before getting in. If you prefer to explore on your own, consider renting a car from Avis, Hertz, or Dollar; it’s recommended to book in advance.
Taxi Prices and travel times to the major resorts
Prices are for a one way trip, for 1 to 4 people (each additional person is charged us$5 extra).
Maximum 8 people per taxi van.
After hours: add us$15 for fares to the Punta Cana hotels and Higuey, and add us$20 for longer journeys.
No reservations needed: there are always taxis available on the airport.
